If you are new to this blog, Delog is a decentralized Android mobile micro-blogging application. It works like Mastodon but is easier to host a server and it's mobile oriented. Delog is based on the Secure Scuttlebut (SSB) Protocol originaly created by Dominic Tar & friends.
From the inception of the Internet, I've been a firm believer in its social capabilities. The Social Web has always appealed to me, and the advent of Social Networks, despite my initial skepticism, was no exception. Although I was wary of Facebook's dominance, I was open to sharing photos, but couldn't bring myself to use Instagram due to my commitment to the ideals of the Internet.
In the instantaneous transmission of news via the Internet, social networks are essentially commercial enterprises.
There are entities that serve as an intermediary for the transmission of information and give their name to a network.
Although the system works well in most cases, it suffers from weaknesses due to the use of a trusted third party for identification and moderation.
